Hello, I'm Behrad!
My own struggles with mental health showed me how hard it can be to open up about our health crises. Keeping quite due to shame and stigma only made me feel more isolated. As I practiced opening up, in turn, others opened up to me. I learned how all of us - regular people, healthcare professionals, and caregivers - are all confronted by different challenges.
These conversation helped me learn about different ways we can find victory in the face of crisis.
As a filmmaker I've seen the power that truthful portrayals of everyday stories can have. Other peoples stories have helped me live a grateful and more informed life. It's alleviated my anxiety about illness, brought me closer to others, and made me more informed about policy and research. Maybe these conversations, that are at the centre of the podcast, can do the same for you.
